At the helm of Dunsire is Shawn Keeper who oversees the widespread operations, performance against key indicators and overall growth of the entire organization. Shawn has a knack for finding opportunities and building on them.
He founded the company in 2010 in Waterloo, Ontario shortly after graduating from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Civil Engineering. Shawn has grown his list of credentials to include certificates in structural engineering and management sciences as well as a P.Eng. designation. He has gained insightful industry experience with one of Canada’s largest home builders bolstered by numerous field Engineering and Management positions. Some of his project experience includes communities as small as 2 homes to as large as 3200 homes throughout Southern Ontario, Alberta, and Jamaica, The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, and Lester B. Pearson International Airport Terminal One Development.

Giving back to the community through time, talent and resources is an integral part of Shawn’s business philosophy. He is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships. Shawn is a member of the Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) NetZero Council of Canada, the Ontario Home Builders Association (OHBA) & Tarion Warranty Corporation Liaison Committee, founder and director of the nationally registered charity Lights Camera Imagine of Canada (LCI), a professional member of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), and professional member of The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).

Driven by his aspirations to leave the world a better place, Shawn takes the lead in sourcing and in turn providing solutions that push the threshold of sustainable living. His mission is to be the premiere builder of environmentally responsible communities.
